Mumbai Indians star batter Rohit Sharma engaged in a hilarious banter with veteran Lucknow Super Giants spinner following their IPL 2024 match on Thursday. In a video posted by LSG on their official social media handle, Rohit could be seen having a conversation with Mishra regarding his age and the Indian cricket team skipper was amazed with the fact that the spinner was 40-years-old. Rohit reacted in his trademark fashion and they went on to have a complete conversation about Mishra's age. Mishra revealed that he was 41 and Rohit joked that the spinner made his debut when he was "in his nappies".

Coming to the match, Marcus Stoinis produced another brilliant batting display as LSG registered a four-wicket win over Mumbai Indians. As a result, MI's playoff dreams were dealt a massive blow and they may end up not qualifying for Top 4 despite winning all of their remaining matches.

LSG captain KL Rahul opened up about the win and also spoke about their own playoff chances.

"We still had batters in the middle. An experienced batter in Pooran and KP is seasoned as well. Was a bit dry. 165-170 would have made it a competitive game. It takes time to adjust to this wicket. Our bowlers did well and put pressure on them. Always happy when you get those two points. We need to gain momentum in the back end of the tournament and the momentum helps," Rahul said after the match.

"I haven't spoken to Mayank much. He had some pain in his sides. He said thoda dukh raha hai. So, I asked him to go out. He is useful for us. We need to take care of him. He bowled wide yorkers and slower bumpers today which was good to see. We are giving him a free hand," the LSG captain added.
