Assembly election results: BJP leads in Odisha, Telugu Desam Party in Andhra Pradesh
Most exit polls predicted a win for the National Democratic Alliance in Andhra Pradesh and a close contest between the BJP and the Biju Janata Dal in Odisha.

The Bharatiya Janata Party is leading in Odisha Assembly polls crossing the halfway mark. In Andhra Pradesh, the Telugu Desam Party has also taken a significant lead in the state Assembly polls.
Andhra Pradesh has 175 Assembly seats, and the majority mark is 88. Odisha has 147 Assembly constituencies, with 74 being the halfway mark.
Leads
In Andhra Pradesh, the Telugu Desam Party is currently leading in 130 constituencies including Rajahmundry Rural, Rajahmundry City, Santhanuthalapadu, Kadapa, Dhone and Mydukur, according to the Election Commission.
The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party is leading in 18 constituencies including Pulivendla and Anaparthy. The Jana Sena is leading in 20 constituencies in the southern state and its ally the Bharatiya Janata Party is leading in seven seats.
In Odisha, the BJP is leading in 76 seats while the Biju Janata Dal is leading in 56 seats. The Congress is leading in 11 seats in Odisha while the Communist Party of India (Marxist) in one seat, according to data shared by the Election Commission.
