Early trends in the counting of votes for the Assembly polls in Odisha show the Bharatiya Janata Party leading. In Andhra Pradesh, the Telugu Desam Party is leading according to initial trends.

Andhra Pradesh has 175 Assembly seats, and the majority mark is 88. Odisha has 147 Assembly constituencies, with 74 being the halfway mark.

Leads

In Andhra Pradesh, the Telugu Desam Party is currently leading in 106 constituencies including Rajahmundry Rural, Rajahmundry City, Santhanuthalapadu, Kadapa, Dhone and Mydukur, according to the Election Commission.

The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party is leading in 15 constituencies including Pulivendla and Anaparthy. The Jana Sena is leading in 15 constituencies in the southern state and its ally the Bharatiya Janata Party is leading in four seats.

In Odisha, the BJP is leading in 47 seats while the Biju Janata Dal is leading in 28 seats. The Congress is leading in six seats in Odisha while the Communist Party of India (Marxist) in one seat, according to data shared by the Election Commission.
