Russia bots target Paris Olympics with deepfake Tom Cruise video

Russia, facing a ban on its athletes competing under the national flag at the Summer Olympics, has directed its anger towards the Games and the host city, Paris. According to a Sunday report by Microsoft, Russian propagandists have produced an hour-long documentary, fabricated news reports, and even impersonated French and US intelligence agencies. Their objective is to disseminate fake warnings that advise people against attending the Games.
