Putin visits Xi as US threatens China sanctions over ties

Russian President Vladimir Putin's discussions with Chinese President Xi Jinping are expected to focus on countering US warnings against China’s trade with Russia. The two leaders, who have met over 40 times since Xi took office in 2012, have previously declared a “no-limits friendship” just before Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
