Pakistan: Human Rights body raises concern about situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) has expressed concerns over the human rights and law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in its annual report. The HRCP's press statement pointed out that due to the absence of subsequent provincial elections, the citizens of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa remained "unrepresented" throughout the year. It noted that not a single piece of legislation was enacted in 2023.
