India's first hydrogen train has traveled over 1,200 kilometers during trial operations. This indigenous project has already saved over 3,200 liters of diesel fuel. The train generates electricity using hydrogen fuel cells, releasing only water vapor. Dedicated hydrogen storage and refuelling facilities have been established at Jind. Further trial runs are planned for the Delhi route to support zero-emission rail transport.
