A dead rubber this match may have been, but the outcome was rather disappointing. The wet outfield at the Central Broward Park did not pass the pitch inspections, and even before the toss could take place, the match between India and Canada was called off.
India tops Group A with seven points.
As the action moves down to the West Indies, Rohit Sharma and Co will take on Afghanistan in Super 8 match on June 20 at the Kensington Oval in Barbados. They will then take on either Bangladesh or the Netherlands on June 22 at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua and Barbuda. The Indians will play their last Super 8 Group 1 match at the Darren Sammy Cricket Ground in Saint Lucia on June 24.
