The security personnel on Monday lathi-charged several persons gathered near the Cockroach Janta Party’s protest site in Delhi ahead of the political campaign’s march to Parliament, reported ANI.
While being taken to the deputy commissioner’s office, Saurav Das, the spokesperson of the Cockroach Janta Party, told the news agency that the campaign was in talks with the government. However, Ashutosh Ranka, another spokesperson of the campaign, said that there had been no progress in the talks in the past five hours.
Late on Sunday night, the campaign said that the march on Monday, the first day of the Monsoon Session, “stands as planned”. The march was to begin from the Jantar Mantar protest site at 9 am.
The Cockroach Janta Party stated that it continues to demand the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for the alleged mismanagement of competitive examinations.
