K-pop fans, we have some exciting news. Wen Junhui aka Jun — a boyband member of SEVENTEEN — will feature alongside Jackie Chan in a new film. Titled The Shadow's Edge, the Chinese movie will premiere sometime in 2025.
On Saturday (January 18), the makers dropped the official first-look poster of The Shadow's Edge on social media. The image gives off an action-packed vibe with Jackie Chan hiding behind a wall with a gun. Meanwhile, actor Tony Leung Ka-Fai appears ready to attack standing on the opposite side of the wall. Jun is seen at the far end of the corridor.

According to a report by Koreaboo, Jun is cast as the antagonist Hu Feng in The Shadow's Edge. Touted to be a crime thriller, the movie chronicles a fierce conflict between a malicious criminal organisation and the police on a mission to pursue them.
Jackie Chan, the legendary action star, portrays a veteran detective in the film. Meanwhile, Tony Leung Ka-fai plays Hu Feng's adoptive father and the movie's main villain. The Shadow's Edge is directed by Larry Yang. He is credited with the 2015 project Mountain Cry. The action-romance was the closing film of the Busan International Film Festival.
A couple of days ago, Jun posted a slew of pictures on Instagram from the film sets. In the opening photo, the K-pop idol shared the frame with Jackie Chan. While Jun posed with a double thumbs-up gesture, Jackie Chan pointed his fingers at his young co-star. The rest of the clicks showcased the other cast members. Take a look:
Jun is not new to the entertainment world. He made his foray into films with the 2007 drama The Pye-Dog. The movie earned him several accolades including the prestigious Hong Kong Film Awards. His acting portfolio also features The Legend Is Born: Ip Man.
Besides films, Jun has been a part of drama shows like Exclusive Fairy Tale, Mother's Garden and Cloudy with a Chance of Sunshine.
