Taiwan president thanks air force for 'outstanding' work during China war games

Taiwan President Lai Ching-te commended the air force for its impressive performance during recent Chinese military exercises around Taiwan. Lai urged continued vigilance in guarding the Taiwan Strait. During the exercises, Taiwan detected a record 153 Chinese aircraft in a single day. Lai rejects Beijing's territorial claims and has repeatedly sought dialogue with China.
