Sipra Mukherjee, Mrinmoy Pramanick win AK Ramanujan Prize for Translation for ‘I Belong to Nowhere’

The Association for Asian Studies announced the winners of this year’s prizes on February 11.

The prizes recognise outstanding scholarship and contribution to the field, and the Association annually awards them at a ceremony during the annual conference. This year’s ceremony will be held in Vancouver on March 13.

This year, Indian writers Rishad Choudhury, Charu Gupta, and translators Sipra Mukherjee and Mrinmoy Pramanick are the winners of the Bernard S Cohn Prize, Ananda Kentish Coomaraswamy Prize, and AK Ramanujan Prize for Translation, respectively.
