Valsad: The Rotary Club of Valsad Ranger, established just a year ago, is making significant strides in transforming the education sector. As part of this effort, the club initiated a search for the "Rotary Iconic Teacher" over the last two months, aiming to recognize exceptional educators.
In the first round, all participating teachers were asked to submit a five-minute video showcasing their teaching methods. These videos were then uploaded to YouTube, where they were evaluated through an online judging process. Based on various criteria, 30 teachers were shortlisted for the final round.
The grand finale took place at the AC Hall of Parivar Restaurant, located on the National Highway in Valsad. A unique aspect of the event was the involvement of 11th and 12th-grade students from various schools, who were invited to serve as judges. In addition, special guest judges included Amit Mehta, CEO of Maan Foundation, Kush Sakariya, trustee of Vallabh Ashram, Dr. Yatin Vyas, professor at KBS College, and Bhavin Desai from Ubica World. A total of 110 individuals participated in the judging process.
The entire competition was conducted using online technology, ensuring a fair and thorough evaluation of each teacher's presentation. At the conclusion of the event, Dipti Viren Shah from Saraswati International was awarded the prestigious Iconic Teacher title. She was honored with a laptop, a trophy, and a certificate.
The second place winners, who received tablets, trophies, and certificates, were Nambina Vinod Mehta from Maniba School, Sunil Jadav from Sarvajanik English School, Surat, Siraj Saros Patel from Atul Vidyalaya, Jaisal Shah from M.M. High School, Umargam, and Hazrabibi Hakim from Chakkiwala High School, Surat.
Third place winners were awarded smartwatches, trophies, and certificates. They included Jayshreeben Bhagat from Shah Khimchand Mulji High School, Nureen Kasamni from Atul Vidyalaya, Manoj Khapre from Vallabh Ashram, Dhara Ankur Patel from Tata School, Navsari, and Prakash Purohit.
The main sponsor of this distinguished event was Rashmiben Rameshbhai Shah and her family from Arya Sanskar Dham, who generously supported the program. Additional sponsorships included two tablets and two smartwatches from Drip Sip, a laptop from Sahil Shah, tablets from Rotarians Manoj Jain, Sunil Jain, and Dr. Dipesh Shah, and smartwatches sponsored by Rotarians Digant Desai, Bhavesh Parikh, and Bharat Jain.
The event opened with a welcome address by Rotary Club of Valsad Ranger President Manoj Jain, followed by a vote of thanks delivered by Honorary Secretary Bharat Jain. The entire event was efficiently managed by the team from N.K. Desai Science and Commerce English Medium College, Pardi.
