A 20-year-old man was detained by security forces while attempting to scale the boundary wall of Parliament on Friday morning, ANI reported.
The security breach took place at about 5.50 am, the news agency quoted the Delhi Police as saying.
The man, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, allegedly climbed a tree to jump over the wall before he was stopped by personnel of the Central Industrial Security Force and the Delhi Police, PTI reported.
The police said that the man appeared to be “mentally incoherent” and that further interrogation was underway, ANI reported.

The police arrested six individuals in connection with the incident – Manoranjan D, Sagar Sharma, Amol Dhanraj Shinde, Neelam Azad, Lalit Jha, and Mahesh Kumawat. All six are currently in judicial custody.
