CBI to probe death of Sushant Singh Rajput’s former manager

The Bombay High Court on Wednesday ordered the Central Bureau of Investigation to probe the death of Disha Salian, the former manager of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, Bar and Bench reported.

Disha Salian had allegedly died by suicide on June 8, 2020, in Mumbai. Six days later, Rajput was found dead at his residence. The police had closed the case in 2021 and said that no evidence of foul play had been found in her death.

A division bench of Justices Sarang V Kotwal and Ranjitsinha R Bhonsale directed the CBI to register a first information report based on a statement by Disha Salian’s father, Satish Salian, who had filed the petition.

The court said that no one should be treated as a suspect in the case unless the investigating officer finds enough material to reasonably suspect their involvement, the legal news outlet reported.

The celebrity manager’s father had moved the High Court in March 2025 seeking a CBI probe into her death and the filing of an FIR against several persons, including Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) leader Aaditya Thackeray.
