At least 27 people have died, and over 100 are missing after a boat capsized on the River Niger in northern Nigeria. The vessel was carrying around 200 people, mostly women heading to a food market. Overloading appears to be a major factor, highlighting the ongoing safety issues with water transportation in Nigeria.
