Apartheid massacre site on World Heritage list

UNESCO added sites linked to South Africa's apartheid struggle, including a massacre scene and Nelson Mandela's childhood village, to its World Heritage List. Other notable additions include Italy’s Appian Way and Japan’s Sado mines. The Appian Way is famed for its historical significance, while the Sado mines are noted for their artisanal techniques.
