UK shortlists four developers including Rolls Royce for small nuclear projects

Britain has advanced Rolls Royce, GE-Hitachi Nuclear Energy, Westinghouse, and Holtec Britain in its competition to develop small modular nuclear reactors. The government plans to select two companies for deployment in the 2030s. This initiative aims to replace older plants with more cost-effective and faster-to-build SMRs to meet net zero targets.
