Ohio woman who inspired Trump's 'eating the...' remark jailed for a year for eating cat
Allexis T Ferrell, a 27-year-old woman from Ohio, was sentenced to a year in jail for killing and eating a cat. The incident was falsely attributed to a Haitian immigrant and was cited by Donald Trump in the presidential debate as Haitian immigrants eating pet cats and dogs became a major issue ahead of the election. Ferrell pleaded guilty to cruelty to animals.
