Bihar Assembly polls: Nitish Kumar is NDA’s CM face, says BJP

Bharatiya Janata Party leader and Union minister Giriraj Singh on Wednesday said that Nitish Kumar is the National Democratic Alliance’s chief minister face in the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, reported PTI.
The National Democratic Alliance in Bihar comprises incumbent chief minister Kumar’s Janata Dal (United), Chirag Paswan-led Lok Janshakti Party, Jitan Ram Manjhi’s Hindustani Awam Morcha and Upendra Kushwaha’s Rashtriya Lok Morcha.
The Assembly polls are due to be held in two phases on November 6 and November 11, while the votes will be counted on November 14.
“Everything is fine within the NDA,” Singh said in Patna. “Seat-sharing arrangements for assembly polls are underway and the final formula would be announced soon.”

Singh’s statement came on the day that Manjhi warned the NDA that the Hindustani Awam Morcha would not contest the Bihar elections if the party is not allocated 15 constituencies in the seat-sharing talks, IANS reported.
