At least 50 killed as boat capsizes in eastern Congo lake

A boat overloaded with passengers capsized on Lake Kivu, eastern Congo, killing at least 50 people. The vessel was en route from Minova to Goma. Overcrowding and negligence are blamed as the boat had a capacity for about 30 passengers but carried around 100. Rescue efforts continue, with ten survivors receiving medical care.
