TVK chief Vijay to take oath as next Tamil Nadu CM tomorrow

Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam chief Vijay will take oath as the chief minister of Tamil Nadu on Sunday, ANI reported.
The swearing-in ceremony will take place at 10 am at Chennai’s Nehru Stadium.
The actor-turned politician met Governor Rajendra Arlekar at the Lok Bhavan on Saturday, and staked claim to form the government. He handed over letters of support from the Congress, Communist Party of India, Communist Party of India (Marxist), the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi and the Indian Union Muslim League, ANI quoted a press release from the governor’s office as saying.
With this, Vijay has the support of 121 MLAs.
The governor has directed the TVK chief to seek a vote of confidence in the Assembly by May 13.

Earlier in the day, the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi announced support for the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam to form the government in Tamil Nadu. VCK chief Thol Thirumavalavan said that the decision was taken so that his party would not become an obstacle to Vijay forming the government, and so that President’s Rule is not imposed.
