Short fiction: The deer and hangul are chased out of the forest by killer jackals and wolves

Curfew was imposed in Vananchal and the animals fell silent. After two days, when the curfew was relaxed for a few hours, posters were found pasted on trees warning the hangul and other deer to leave Vananchal forever. The wolves had taken on the responsibility of terrorising and killing some hangul and deer.

Upon seeing the deteriorating state of affairs, the violent atmosphere, the bloodshed, and the collapse of law and order in Vananchal, the authorities replaced the governor of the forest. New problems arose. Unknown animals started setting everything on fire. The sacked governor made a fiery speech and held the central government responsible for the mess. He made a startling revelation that a huge quantity of arms and ammunition had been smuggled from across the border to fuel the mayhem. Jackals were actively involved in killing others. The armed forces deployed on the border were also held responsible by the former governor for the worsening situation.

The new governor clearly stated that steps would be taken to eliminate those spreading terror in Vananchal. His speech, which was full of warnings, was broadcast on the radio.
