Researchers used digital fish to study mate selection among green swordtails over nine generations. The males consistently preferred larger females, leading to increased average size in virtual females. Female preferences varied significantly, with some favoring traits like longer tails or brighter colors. The study aims to understand how mate choice evolves over generations, providing insights into animal behavior. What's Your Reaction?
