Sanjay Leela Bhansali Has Not Locked In Director For Rowdy Rathore 2

Rowdy Rathore, with Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead, was a blockbuster back in 2012.

Since then, talks about a sequel have been making the rounds with no concrete information being reported.

Several names such as Sidharth Malhotra, Tiger Shroff, and even Shahid Kapoor have been considered to become a part of the action-entertainer.

In an exclusive report by Pinkvilla, it was reported that Sanjay Leela Bhansali has joined hands with Kannada director Prem to produce Rowdy Rathore 2.

However, looks like Bhansali has yet to zero in on a director for Rowdy Rathore 2.

An industry source tells NDTV, "There are many names who want to associated with the mega project, but unfortunately, there is no such development (as earlier reported)."

Once the scripting process is done, the casting will eventually begin.

Rowdy Rathore earned rupees 203 crore at the box-office. The film was a thorough entertainer with Akshay Kumar's comic timing on point and a foot-tapping album, typical of a mass entertainer.

Considering how popular the hooksteps and dialogues became, it comes as no surprise that the much-anticipated sequel has always been on the cards.

Akshay Kumar fans will be more than happy to see the actor return in the sequel. There's a whole different clan who swear by his comedy films, this one's no different.
