Malaika Arora Calls 2024 "A Difficult Year" Following Breakup With Arjun Kapoor

Malaika Arora, on Monday, opened up about the lessons that 2024 taught her, with its several challenges and changes. But the one thing she has learnt this year is to trust herself more. 

The actress reshared a note on her Instagram Stories reflecting on the challenges and growth she has experienced over the year. This comes just days after she responded to her ex, Arjun Kapoor's public comment about being "single."

Responding to Arjun's comment during an interview, Malaika said, "I will never choose a public platform to talk about my personal life. So, whatever Arjun has said is entirely his prerogative."

The note read, "I don't hate you, 2024, but you were a difficult year, full of challenges, changes, and learning. You showed me that life can change in the blink of an eye and taught me to trust myself more. But, above all, you made me understand that my health-whether physical, emotional, or mental-is what really matters. There are things I still can't understand, but I believe that with time, I will understand the reasons and purposes of everything that happened."

For the unversed, 2024 was a difficult year for Malaika for two reasons - her father Anil Arora died this year, and her seven-year relationship with Arjun Kapoor with ended too. 

At the Diwali bash hosted by Raj Thackeray, Arjun had said, "Nahin ab main single hoon, relax karo (No, I am now single. Relax)," while interacting with media. 

Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor began dating in 2018, a year after Malaika's divorce from Arbaaz Khan. Their relationship ended just before Malaika lost her father. Despite their breakup, Arjun stood by her and offered his support during this challenging time.
