Air India Phuket-Delhi flight drops 300 feet after turbulence, 14 injured

Ten passengers and four crew members on board an Air India flight from Phuket to Delhi were injured after the aircraft experienced sudden loss of altitude, the Hindustan Times reported.
An unidentified official of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation said that the pilot reported “sudden loss” of approximately 300 feet of altitude, PTI reported.
One cabin crew member was severely injured, the official added.
The aviation regulator will conduct an investigation into the incident, the news agency quoted the official as saying.
The plane, an Airbus A320 aircraft, took off from Phuket at 8.25 am and landed in Delhi at 11 am.
