New Hampshire patient dies from rare mosquito-borne disease
Health officials reported that an adult from Hampstead, New Hampshire, died from Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE). The last recorded human case of EEE in the state was in 2014. Symptoms include fever, headache, and vomiting. There are no vaccines or treatments, and climate change is increasing the risk in New England.
