Facebook and Instagram outages impact thousands in US

Meta platforms' Facebook and Instagram faced significant outages across the US on Monday, with users reporting over 8,000 issues for Facebook and 4,000 for Instagram around 1:44 pm ET. Most services were restored by 2:09 pm ET. Earlier this year, a global Meta outage affected hundreds of thousands of users for over two hours.
