That’s all from us tonight for the 2024 Diamond League Final. See you later!
And with that, Neeraj Chopra’s 2024 season has come to an end.
Second in the 2024 Diamond League and second at the 2024 Paris Olympics – two very impressive performances despite the 26-year-old struggling with a groin injury.
But the way he reacted after his performances in both Paris and Brussels, Neeraj himself wasn’t impressed.
The Paris 2024 silver medallist continues to carry the flag high for Indian athletics on the world stage. And with surgery on the cards now his season has concluded, a break is perhaps just what is needed for Neeraj to get his groove back, as per his high standards.

Neeraj Chopra finishes second????
He throws 86.46m with his final attempt. Not enough to overtake Anderson Peters.

Men’s javelin throw: And with that final throw of 87.86m, Anderson Peters of Grenada wins the 2024 Diamond League.
Peters’ final throw in Brussels was Neeraj Chopra’s best throw and like the season gone by, it seems that the Indian’s best is just not good enough once again. Finally an acknowledgement of his efforts as Neeraj completes his night in Brussels with a final throw of 86.46m....
