Arjun Kapoor made a blockbuster comeback with Rohit Shetty's Singham Again. He played the role of a bad guy, Danger Lanka. The actor, who had been going through quite a bleak streak at the box office for the past 5 years, recently talked about how he dealt with failures in life. While Arjun Kapoor acknowledged that it had been a difficult journey, he was convinced that love and support are always there for him.
The actor told Masala.com, “I have waited for a long time patiently and respectfully to be loved and appreciated. I think my debut was met with so much love, somewhere, I just wanted to rekindle that feeling. I'm just taking it one day at a time. Whether it's in interviews or just regular people who call me by the character's name; you want to feel validated. So I'm really enjoying this phase. There is a positivity, an energy, an excitement, and genuine love. You still have to work hard on the next opportunities and pick the opportunities responsibly.”
Arjun Kapoor also added that he believes that people want to cheer for him. “I have also believed that there is love out there for me. There are people who want to cheer for me and want to support me. I'm talking about the paying audience at this point, along with the industry and the media. Perhaps, the surge of goodwill and excitement comes from ‘good prevailing over evil' in that sense. Eventually, there are enough good people, and there's enough goodness in this world where they are backing you. The last couple of years or even the last five years have been difficult for me," the actor said.
Arjun Kapoor made his acting debut in the 2012 film Ishaqzaade alongside Parineeti Chopra. Since then, the actor has appeared in films like Gunday, 2 States, Finding Fanny, Half Girlfriend, Panipat, Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, Sardar Ka Grandson, Bhoot Police, Ek Villain Returns, and Kuttey.
Talking about his future projects, Arjun Kapoor will be seen in No Entry 2 alongside Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh. The film is a sequel to the 2005 film No Entry, which featured Salman Khan, Fardeen Khan and Anil Kapoor in lead roles. Directed by Anees Bazmee, the comedy sequel is set to begin filming in December 2024 and is expected to be released in 2025, marking the 20th anniversary of the original.
