Amid Aishwarya-Abhishek Split Rumours, Amitabh Bachchan Talks About Love Marriages In His Family, "Desh Ke Har Kone Se..."

On a recent episode, a software engineer from Gujarat appeared as a contestant   revealing he's not on talking terms with his parents as he had a "love marriage." The engineer wished to initiate a conversation with his parents through KBC. "I've not been talking to my parents for five years. I know they watch KBC regularly, so it was important for me to come here so I can talk to you about this and maybe they can listen to us," said the contestant. Assuring him, Big B told him on the show, "I hope that after watching today's episode, your parents will talk to you again, and you can have the conversation you've been longing for."

Amitabh Bachchan then opened up about love marriages in his family and how these ties strengthen their cultural exchanges over the years. Mr Bachchan said, "Hum hai Uttar Pradesh ke, par chale gaye Bengal. Hamare bhai saab jo hai woh Sindhi parivaar main pahunch gaye, hamari beti Punjabi parivaar mein aur bitwa, aap toh jaante hai... Mangalore. Babuji bola kartein the pehle, "Desh ke har kone kone se byaah kar ke laaye hai sabko (I am from Uttar Pradesh but went to Bengal, my brother is married into a Sindhu family, my daughter is married into a Punjabi family and my son, you already know, Mangalore. My father used to say we have extended our family members from each corner of the country)."

Amitabh Bachchan's words came during the ongoing rumours of split between Abhishek and Aishwarya Bachchan. Amid such chatter, Mr Bachchan has been sharing cryptic posts on his social media handles at regular intervals, intriguing his fans' curiosity.

Rumours of Abhishek and Aishwarya Bachchan's split have been doing the rounds on social media ever since they arrived at a high profile wedding separately, earlier this year. The couple made a rare joint appearance at a wedding recently, putting rumours to rest.
