Japan to keep nuclear, boost renewables in its energy mix, new industry minister says

Japan will continue safely restarting nuclear power plants and expand renewable energy usage under new Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba. Despite his initial opposition to nuclear power, Ishiba now supports increased use of renewables and nuclear energy to meet growing electricity demand and manage living costs.
