Another fruitful day for India at the Paris Paralympic Games with Navdeep Singh winning gold and Simran winning bronze at the Stade de France.

Those two medals marked the end of a successful campaign for the Indian para athletics contingent in Paris with four gold, six silver and seven bronze medals for a total of 17 medals. In contrast, the entire Indian Paralympic contingent won 19 medals at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics, it’s best ever haul before the Paris Games.

Pooja Ojha will be looking to get India to the 30-medal mark tomorrow when she takes part in the women’s 200m kayak single KL1 event.

Athletics, men’s 400m T47 final: Gavit got off to a good start and was within touching distance of a podium finish as they came around the bend. However, it looks like the lactic acid build up was too much and Gavit loses steam in the final 100m to finish last in the nine-athlete race with a time of 49.99m.
