The Hollywood award season officially kickstarted with the 82nd Golden Globe nominations being revealed by Mindy Kaling and Morris Chestnut tonight. Payal Kapadia's Cannes-Winning All We Imagine As A Light received a nomination in the Best Motion Picture - (Non-English Language). Payal Kapadia also won a nomination in the Best Direction (Motion Picture). The 82nd annual Golden Globe Awards is set to air live from the Beverly Hilton on CBS and stream on Paramount+ on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2025 at 5 p.m. Nikki Glaser will host the 2025 Golden Globes, and Emmy-winning producers Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner are set to serve as showrunners, for the second year in a row. It was previously announced that Viola Davis will receive the Cecil B. DeMille Award and Ted Danson will receive the Carol Burnett Award, which recognizes TV excellence.
